1981, I was never a huge Styx fan. ( I liked the Pieces of Eight album) But they brought Paradise Theatre to town. I remember thinking Renegade & Blue Collar Man would be the best & they were very good. But the 2 songs below were better. I was surprised. Lady sounded incredible, with a heavier guitar sound & Tommy Shaw was pitch perfect, both playing & singing Crystal Ball.



I was sad when Dennis DeYoung re-recorded Lady in 1995, I think due to a Record company dispute. "Lady '95" took away all the energy of the 1973 original, imo.

I've been fortunate enough to see those three groups and others perform at Red Rocks perform over the years. Before marijuana became legal in CO you could still get a Mile High at Red Rocks.

Damn, I've seen the Beach Boys & Chicago, but missed seeing the Eagles.

Well, unless seeing Randy Meisner a former Eagle, counts!:)
