I pretty sure he wants LSU to succeed regardless of who the HC is.
I'm not.

Of course he does. He may not like O, or agree O is the best person to lead LSU... but he doesn’t want LSU to lose.I'm not.

but then he'd need Miles to eff up at Kansas and get fired, so LSU could hire him back, but if....He wants Oeaux to lose so that he gets fired.
Sometimes, even when you thought you lost, you win. If there has been one game that validates the job Oeaux has done here we saw it Saturday night in Austin

if Tap wants to be happy he'd better become an O man, or a kansas one
QB looked really good tonight, punter is world class, just have to wait and see. P.S. Hi everybody!Check

I am sure it will take a couple of years to turn things around there - he's gotta get the right personnel in there but I am glad he won. I wanted to watch the game but I guess the ACC network isn't available to allCheck

Good for Les. I wish him great success at Kansas. I think he needed a fresh start.Check

No, I don't need to become an "O man" either. That's not happening. I pull for LSU as always, & have enjoyed seeing what Miles is doing at Kansas. He's got litterally one of the worst rosters in the Power 5, no joke. They were extremely competetive against the Mountain Mamas yesterday & honestly they shouldn't have been talent-wise. All their fans can ask at this point, is that they play as hard as possible & they did.
I’ve been slightly wrong about O so far but like championship hopes this year, I still think he could be fools gold. This season feels a lot like 2015. Super stud on offense that looks unstoppable (LF7) 7-0 and ranked in the initial CFP top 4 headed into Bama. And then........the wheels fell off. We all know what happened the following year. I’m afraid that’s where we are headed this year. Hell if we even get to Bama undefeated. Jury is still out with this defense. I think the creative coaches like Mullen and Malzahn will have their way with this unit (as painful as it is to type that). Both those teams have nasty ass front sevens and even though we get both at home, I’m not sure we can keep Burrow upright long enough and may lose one.
I think we are in trouble next year. When Burrow leaves, this offense is in trouble. I am not of belief that Brennan is the next Burrow. And now, it looks like we don’t have much of a defense to fall back on. We will lose Lawrence, Logan, Chaisson, Fulton, Delpit, Divinity, and maybe even a few others like Stevens and Phillips. Could potentially lose 8 of our 11 starters. Not all 8 would get drafted especially with how poor they are playing but half are still dumb enough to pull an Ed Alexander. And Coach O probably can’t talk them out of it.
We had 5 DL recruits coming in, that just dropped to 4 and may drop again once Saban takes his pick of our litter before NSD. No telling if Elias Ricks will still want to join what is looking less and less like DBU. Outside of Ricks, do we have any big name DB’s coming in?
No question this is Coach O’s chance for a big year. Because looking ahead, it’s scary. I don’t recommend anybody look ahead. I am trying to just enjoy the now and have fun this year.
BUT the big question still remains, do we have a coach who is building a team, or a program?
The different is that under Miles the team would mail in the rest of the season after losing to Alabama. So far Oeaux has gotten them to play well even the week after the loss.
And no, I don't think Brennan is anywhere near being the equal of Burrow. Still, he will be the starter next season unless this Parish kid who I know nothing about really steps up and takes the job or if we get another QB from the transfer portal.
Is there any way the portal can replicate another Joe Burrow?
