At the beginning of LSU’s entirely open practice Thursday morning, redshirt freshman Garrett Nussmeier jogged slowly onto the outdoor fields. He trailed behind the rest of LSU’s quarterbacks, not wanting to aggravate a Grade 1 ankle sprain.
